CS3216 first blog

I have to write this blog because it’s a requirement. So, here it is.

A little intro about me: I’m the first guy doing the show-n-tell, if you guys can remember me (the 1 who show off the ‘ugly Roomba’, (but it’s much much better than the stupid Roomba though )). I am the guy with ‘everything can attitude’ and will beat anyone to (near) death if you don’t believe/tell me I can’t do something.

So this comic strip pretty much describe well about me.

So I dare ya, hehe…

And there’s something I did not have the chance to show (because I was cut off by our (beloved (?)) professor ), and it’s something I’m really proud off: my design and photography portfolio.

Some photographs of mine:

You can find more on

and my logo design for a company:

Ok, end of show-off part..
So talking about the module…

After the first lecture of the module, I feel quite excited. People taking the class is really smart, and I really want to work with them soon and making something that could make money. That would be really damn cool..

The show-and-tell is quite impressive, with the most impressive being the guy who can do the Carlsberg’s advertisement bottle blowing (?), hehe.

I dont know what to write more about, so I guess I should stop here.

  1. “… there’s something I did not have the chance to show (because I was cut off by our (beloved (?)) professor )”

Sorry about that. Didn’t mean to cut you off. Didn’t know you had more than the robot to show and we were running late.

So don’t you think this blog idea is cool? You get to show your friends stuff you didn’t get to show in class. :-)

“I really want to work with them soon and making something that could make money.”

Why do you want to make something that could make money?

  2. Wow you actually read everyone’s blog :O, it’s really a surprise.

I really have no intention to blame you about being cut off (so please don’t deduct my mark, haha), I sure knew and understood we dont have enuf time lah…

“Why do you want to make something that could make money?”

Because I think you either can make apps that don’t make money or make apps that do. And who don’t enjoy earning good marks and good money at the same time? Haha

  3. Hate to break this to you, but I think it’s quite hard to make money with Facebook apps.

I would however be delighted and will happily give you an A+ if you can make say a million (Singapore) bucks with your app. Actually, even if you can make $50K, I would probably give you an A. How many students can make $50K from a class project?

    Surprise me. :-P

  4. If I can make a million with an app, I would drop school right away haha. You really have high expectation for your student (quite scary for me :) )

And by making money, I just mean a few K for pocket money (like my friend Jason, who wrote the bot for warbook and earned 2k easily).

  5. “If I can make a million with an app, I would drop school right away haha. You really have high expectation for your student (quite scary for me :) )”

What makes you think you cannot? We are often limited not by reality, but by our own thinking. :-P

  6. “I am the guy with ‘everything can attitude’ and will beat anyone to (near) death if you don’t believe/tell me I can’t do something.”

Minh, kick your ass please :)

  7. It’s true sir. And I don’t think I can’t (you can see above, “I am the guy with “everything can” attitude”), it’s just hard to do, and it’s just not in my plan haha..

And thank you so much for spending time commenting on the blog. You are really a great teacher and I really mean it.

  8. @Thanh: I won’t because of 2 reasons:
    1. You haven’t teach me how to kick your own ass..
    2. I don’t say I can’t.

    So, haha..

  9. oh my! lovely photos! u gotta teach me photography!!!

  10. Yeah sure I will. :)
